Dear Friends, Alumni, Colleagues and Supporters of Long Reach Opera Workshop,
What a year and a half it has been! So much has changed so quickly. How to respond? That is the question we are asking ourselves at LROW.
We are writing to let you know that for the 2021-22 season we are taking a sabbatical. We will use this time to re-think our programming in response to the many changes we have seen in the performing arts over the last 18 months, with a view to coming back with an imaginative, re-invigorated program in 2022-23.
As someone in the LROW community who has invested time, energy, talent and/or funds into LROW in the past, we would love to hear from you. What would you suggest in this changing world? What do we want LROW to look like? How do we make LROW sustainable? We’d like to hear anything you have to say.
Thank you so much for your participation in and support of LROW. We are so lucky to have incredible people involved in every aspect of the program. Indeed, we are who our people are - people who have embraced LROW’s belief that making art together can at once be deeply meaningful, insightful and joyful as well as artistically refined and excellent.
We look forward to hearing from you. Please send your responses to firstname.lastname@example.org. In the meantime, we hope this finds you well and thriving.
