Fraser Jackson, Vice Chair

Fraser Jackson is a member of the bassoon section of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and is on the teaching faculty of the University of Toronto and the Royal Conservatory of Music. He is also a co-director of the Cammac Summer Music Festival in Quebec. In the past, he has served as Head of Winds, Brass and Percussion at the Glenn Gould School and Artistic Director of the Scarborough Philharmonic.

Ann Weir, Treasurer

Ann Weir is a senior financial executive with over 25 years of experience in the public and private sector. She has demonstrated leadership governance, financial risk management and strategy development. Ann currently servies as the Chief Audit Executive for eHealth Ontario and has previously held the positions of Chief Administrative Officer at the OACCAC and Chief Financial Officer at President's Choice Financial. She is a Chartered Accountant-Certified Public Accountant, holds an ICD.D designation and has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Guelph.

James McLean

James McLean is a Torontonian by birth and completed his education at the University of Toronto (MusBac 1980, MA 2015). His career as an opera singer has spanned more than 3 decades, beginning in Canada and continuing in Europe, where he sang on major stages across the continent including; Deutsche Oper am Rhein (Düsseldorf/Duisburg), Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz (Munich), Teatro Nacionale São Carlos (Lisbon), Teatro Comunale di Bologna, and Teatro Lirico Giuseppe Verdi (Trieste). Since his return to Canada in 2008 he has sung with Tapestry Opera (Toronto) and Opera Lyra (Ottawa). James teaches singing in Toronto and at Wilfrid Laurier University (Waterloo).

Bethany Bergman

Bethany Bergman a member of the Canadian Opera Company Orchestra and am Principal 2nd violin of the Hamilton Philharmonic. She is active in and around Toronto with the Esprit Orchestra as Principal 2nd, Elora Festival, Toronto Symphony, and the National Ballet among others. Bethany is a graduate of the Royal Conservatory and University of Toronto, and Indiana University. Her performing experience has taken her all over the world to festivals and orchestras in Europe, Canada and the United States. Bethany is an active teacher, and lives in Toronto with 2 cats, a dog, her trumpet playing spouse, and their 2 daughters.

Michelle Hjort

Michelle Hjort is a business development professional, most recently with technology and sustainability start-ups where she brings strength in communication, presentations, advocacy, strategy, and research. Her non-profit activities have included fundraising, partnership development, donor relationships, and event organization. Michelle has BAs in Political Science and International Relations and an MA in Applied Behavioural Science . She has a longstanding passion for the arts, has performed as a dancer and is currently an amateur chorister.
